Volaris Airlines - Society for New Mexico

Mexico is always a new airline, and if the carrier meets all expectations will go a long way that year in the Mexican air traffic to double, but the next three. Volaris Airlines, started by Azcarraga Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim and Emilio expects by 2006 to take its first flight March 13. Volaris Mexico may impact the airline industry more than anyone else, whether its aggressive plans for expansion work.

With the Mexican government in the process the sale of its stake in two companies, Aeromexico and Mexicana Airlines starts, the carriers are ready to jump in and offer service rates drop and demand surges. To date, highly controlled Mexican airline industry, the market has put a stop to the customer as artificially high prices and restricted held a customer is gone. Volaris Airlines, along with start competing airline Interjet is expected to quickly reshape Mexico> Airline industry earlier this year.

Volaris plans to serve at least six Mexican cities and eventually provide service between the Mexican and U.S. destinations. Word as this will affect the potential start No Mexus Airlines, currently classified as "paper carrier" with no concrete plans [or financing], fly.

Volaris is planning on flying 16 A319 aircraft and has an option on 40 A320 aircraft. TACA International Airlines, based in El Salvadorhold a minority stake in the airline. If all goes well with Volaris, the Mexican airline industry should go through a shake very similar to the air transport industry of the United States.
